As the Pörnbacher Family, we are pleased to welcome you at the farmhouse “Oberhölzlhof”, which is marked with
the ” Three flowers” quality badge and is located in the idyllic village of Oberolang / Valdaora di Sopra at the foot of our home mountain and ski resort the Kronplatz.
A holiday on our farm has the peculiarity of combining a pleasant vacation in direct contact with farm life and nature, without giving up the usual home comfort.
The farmhouse “Oberhölzlhof” is a member of the “Red cock” chain: the sign that identifies the farm holiday offers of our province.
The farm is run in harmony with nature and the surrounding environment. Besides cattle-breeding, chicken farming, etc. we also produce fruit and vegetables of excellent quality. In this regard we may mention the well-known potatoes of our valley.
In fact, it is possible to taste following genuine products of our farming and our breeding:
- Various kinds of fruit and vegetables
- fresh eggs laid by farmyard hens
- our excellent Speck and the tasty Kaminwurzen (a kind of local salami) carefully smoked according to old, traditional recipes
- selected veal meet from mother’s milk-fed calves. This meat is also available at the butcher’s shop “Metzgerei Meatery” of Mitterolang www.meatery.eu
- For those interested there is the possibility to support us with feeding the various animals as well as with the hay work.
- There is also the possibility to go on a bike tour or a trip to an alpine pasture in Olang with the farm owner (with advance notice)
